Congratulations to Ms. Mercedes Chan Simh Peh (Ph.D. candidate) for being awarded the Malaysia Toray Science Foundation (MTSF) Science & Technology Research Grant 2025!

Her project titled “Integrating behavioral and neuroendocrine analyses with machine learning to investigate anxiety-related traits in a schizophrenia-like zebrafish model” received a research grant of RM20,000, funded by the Toray Science Foundation, Japan.

Ms. Mercedes is supervised by Dr. Mok Siew Ying and Dr. Tang Pek Yee, whose guidance and mentorship have been instrumental in this achievement.
