Are you passionate about smart agriculture, magnetization, and IoT-based systems? An exciting opportunity is now open for a Master’s by Research project titled:
“Impact of Magnetization on the Growth and Physico-Chemical Properties of Brassica rapa var. parachinensis (sawi hijau) Cultivated in an IoT-Based Hydroponic System”
This interdisciplinary project focuses on developing a smart hydroponic system integrated with IoT sensors and a magnetic device. Brassica rapa var. parachinensis will serve as the model plant to investigate how magnetic fields influence its growth and biochemical characteristics throughout its full life cycle. The study also aims to identify contributing experimental factors and compare magnetized versus non-magnetized conditions.
– Location: UTAR Sungai Long Campus
– Stipend: RM2000/month (2nd-year stipend subject to 1st-year performance)
Who should apply?
We welcome applicants with:
• A Bachelor’s degree in a relevant field such as (but not limited to) Mechatronics, Electronics, Electrical Engineering, Applied Physics, Agricultural Science, or Biotechnology
• A strong interest in plant systems and/or sustainable agriculture
• Experience with Internet of Things (IoT) technologies is an added advantage
