Early Career Awardee – 2021 Congress of the Schizophrenia International Research Society

Siroshini Thiagarajan is awarded Early Career Awardee in the 2021 Congress of the Schizophrenia International Research Society. Below is the background for the study she presented in the congress.

The link between the use of substances and the development of psychoses is demonstrated by the high prevalence of substance abuse in schizophrenia. Objective: To understand the relationship between addiction and schizophrenia, several avenues of investigation on the molecular mechanisms of the short-term (3 days) behavioral and physiological alterations are to be interpreted.
